Yesterday, I received vaccination one of six - polio, tetanus and diphtheria combined...and then squirted through one huge needle into my quivering (but bulging) bicep. I was pretty nervous, having developed a fear of injections at a young age, due in part, I believe, to seeing a lollipop jar full of used needles on the nurses desk as I clung tightly to my Mum's leg, tears pouring from my blubbering face. A confusing and haunting image for anyone of any age I think you'll agree!?
Anyway, as grown-up's nurses apparently don't carry this sort of stuff (typical NHS!), I hereby award myself the following:
